Before and After School Care Fund
* indicates a required field.
The NSW Government is investing $120 million into expanding before and after school care to make places available to all parents with children at government primary schools that need it by 2021. A key element is the Before and After School Care Infrastructure Fund to help schools buy new equipment and expand their facilities.
Applications are now open for schools and providers of before and after school care (Out of School Hours Care) that are ready to deliver new services or expand existing services. This is about providing support for parents with children at government schools which means that providers and services approved to support government schools, as well as the schools themselves, may apply for grants of up to $30,000 through this application.
If your proposal will result in more services or more places for government primary school children, but requires more than $30 000 financial assistance, please contact us at BASCReform@det.nsw.edu.au for more information.
Through consultation and research in 2019, we will review how the Fund works. New eligibility criteria may operate from 1 January 2020 to ensure the Fund is as easy as possible to access and to maximise the number of new places being created.
